Animal Concern conducts free vaccination camp

A free anti-rabies vaccination camp was conducted by Animal Concern clinic, circular road, on Saturday. Informing about the camp, Dr. Michael Imchen said that a total of 231 pets were registered which included cats and monkeys.
“It could have been more but I strictly adhered to the closing time of registration” he added. A passionate veterinarian and animal lover, Dr. Michael Imchen also disclosed that only a fraction of the vaccines were sponsored by Intervet company while for the rest he had to pay from his ow pocket.
It may be mentioned that two such camps were also conducted last year.
On asking the reason for conducting such camps, a very elated Dr. Imchen said that it was the passion for animals and the response from the people which always encouraged him.
