Students union under the aegis of the Northern Zeme Students who attended the recordings of the conference held at Gaili on July 24 unanimously resolved to extend its full support, cooperation and remain in unity against any back-door appointments made in any part of Peren district.
Considering the 15-days ultimatum served on July 22, the conference vowed to stick to its prime motive, ‘cancellation of back-door appointments and open competitions through examinations.’
Accepting the invitation of the Zeliangrong Students Union, the conference agreed to convene a closed-door meeting scheduled July, 29, to further investigate into the recent back-door appointments under SSA.
With the unanimous decision approved and accepted by 31 student leaders representing sub-ordinate student unions under the aegis of Northern Zeme Students, an independent body known as the board of presidents for Northern Zeme Students, was formed.
The board headed by a chairman, a secretary general, and four standing presidents would safeguard and promote common interest, monitor, advise, decide and exercise the functioning of the Northern Zeme Students.
