SBI holds traders meet

Problems faced by the business communities mainly in the banking sector were taken up at the traders meet held at Hotel Saramati, on Tuesday. Organized by State Bank of India regional business office, Dimapur the meet witnessed a large turn out of traders from Dimapur.
Chief General Manager (CGM) SBI local head office, North East Circle Guwahati, R. K. Garg in his address to the traders highlighted the huge project to be launched in the North East Region and products that were available at the bank.
The CGM was on his maiden visit to Dimapur-the main commercial hub of Nagaland after he took over as the CGM in the month of March this year.
His main visit and purpose of the meet was to address the problems faced by the trading community, development and the lack of big industries in Dimapur and also to display various product under the Small and Medium Enterprises (SBE)-scheme of SBI particularly for the business community.
During the interaction hour, issues like shortage of staff and infrastructures faced by the SBI at Old Market branch Dimapur, bank loans for various activities its security, issuing of more small denomination notes and improvement in banking activities were discussed at large.
A visual presentation of different schemes under small and medium enterprises (SME) to the traders’ community was carried out by chief manager SME, SBI Guwahati, B. Debroy.
