Lauding state government’s decision to disburse scholarships of students directly from banks and earmarking “reasonable amount” towards training youths for entrepreneurial development, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) Friday said such initiatives would go a long way in inculcating saving habits of students. The federation, in a press release issued by its president Mutsikhoyo Yhobu also acknowledged government’s efforts towards building economic conditions of the youth through its program - year of entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, it appealed to both government and implementing agencies of the programme to apply fair means in selecting candidates for training and extending monetary assistance. Further, the NSF said preference for the programme should be given to the educated unemployed youth, who aspired to be self-employed, so that investments would help in improving their living conditions as well as the economy of the state.
