Rape attempt on a minor
DIMAPUR, JUL 31 (NPN): Barely a month after two minors were raped in Dimapur, another rape attempt was made on a four-year-old girl at Signal Angami on Friday at around 5 pm. According to police sources, the victim had gone to the house of the accused, Iqbal Hussain (19) where the incident took place. The matter was reported to the police only at around 7 pm. Police said the medical report ruled out any physical contact with the victim. (Staff Reporter)
Sanisian meeting
DIMAPUR: A consultative meeting with all Sanisian residing outside Sanis Village has been convened by Sanis Village Baptist Church on August 17,1 p.m at the residence of Eramo N Y Lotha, Rtd SDO (PWD), G A Colony, Wokha Town. All Sanisian residing outside the village have been requested to attend the meeting.
Meeting on social work in Kohima
DIMAPUR: DC Kohima has convened a meeting on August 3, 11 a.m at DC’s Conference hall, Kohima to discuss the mass social work to be held on August 6. All Panchayat Chairmen, GBs and members of Kohima Municipal Council have been requested to attend the meeting.
DAYC for youth programme
DIMAPUR: District Advisory Committee Meeting for Youth programme in relation with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kohima will be held on August 2, 11 a.m at DC’s Conference hall, Kohima. Besides other agenda, the meeting would deliberate and approve the Annual Action Plan 2010-11 and also form organizing committee for inter high school competition.

DIMAPUR: Consultative meeting of NPF central in-charge Peren district with NPF 6 Tening A/C has been convened on August 6, 1:30 p.m at Tening town. All 6 A/C office bearers and frontal office bearers have been informed to attend the meeting.
NCP state youth wing meeting
DIMAPUR: The national congress party (NCP) state youth wing has informed all the district youth and the concerned assembly constituencies presidents and general secretaries to attend the meeting on August 6, 11 am at the state NCP office, PWD junction P Point, Kohima.
DCST buffet dinner
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Changkikong senso telongjem (DCST) would be organizing a buffet dinner cum entertainment in aid of building fund on August 3, 4 pm at Imliyanger Memorial Centre (IMC). Minister, Planning & Coordination, Vety & AH, Evaluation and Parliamentary Affairs Kohima, Nagaland, T R Zeliang would be the chief guest of the evening and I Imkong MLA, Nagaland would be the guest of honor.

Training on rodent control
DIMAPUR: One day training programme on Rodent Control was conducted at sub-division Agri headquarter Noklak. Forty trainees from different villages attended the one day training programme. Resource persons were Imtilepzuk Agri.officer, Chang Sunny AFA and L Bukhie AFA. They spoke on the topic of bamboo flowering and its effects on rodent, surveillance of rodent and rodent control measures.
DVO conducts training on piggery
DIMAPUR: District veterinary & animal husbandry officer (DVO) Kohima conducted training on piggery, rabbitry and goatery on July 28 where 22 selected beneficiaries under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) participated. Meanwhile, DVO Kohima also organized training programme on July 29 for farmers and veterinary village volunteers comprising of all blocks in Kohima district. Resource persons for the programme Dr. Thejanguzo, Dr. Ilang, Dr. Esther Krocha and Dr. Seyievilie apprised participants on livestock management, first aid, vaccination, deworming and basic needs in farm animals.
