A 20-year-old girl was rescued from a human-trafficking racket on Friday and two persons were arrested. Naushad (26) and Gopal (26) used to lure innocent girls on the pretext of marriage and then rape them and force them into flesh trade.
Mansi (name changed) was rescued by a resident of Mangolpuri who alerted the police, leading to the arrests of the two accused.
Mansi, a native of Udalguri in Assam, was allegedly being illegally confined in a house in Mangolpuri by the duo.
Mansi had come to Delhi with Naushad two months ago as he had promised to marry her after he met her in a hotel in Assam that was being run by his cousin Alam reported Times News Network.
Mansi alleged that Naushad raped her forcibly after reaching Delhi and also forced her to have physical relations with his other ‘friends’ in exchange for money.
Naushad would beat her mercilessly when she would refuse to comply with his directions, alleged Mansi.
On one occasion, Naushad and his ‘friend’ Sonu, allegedly gang-raped her, claimed Mansi.
Said DCP (outer) Chhaya Sharma, ‘‘Naushad would promise her that it would all be over once he would be able to arrange enough money.”
