LR&S gets office building after 33 yrs

After 33 years of functioning in a rented building, the department of Land Records and Survey (LR&S) in Mokokchung finally acquired full-fledged office building which was inaugurated today.
The new office building was inaugurated by Naiba Konyak, Parliamentary Secretary Land Revenue, Youth Resources & Sports who attended the inaugural as the chief guest.
Delivering his inaugural speech, Naiba said DAN government was fully committed in developing infrastructures in the state and added that the day was a landmark for the district with the inauguration of the new office building.
Acknowledging the sincerity of chief minister Neiphiu Rio for the allotment of funds for a new building, he called upon the department officers and staff to be sincere and dedicated in their duty and also urged them to perform better.
He also called upon the office to have co-operation and coordination with the district administration.
Earlier in the program, the welcome speech was delivered by Hoyivi Awomi, joint director land records and survey and a brief technical report was presented by the EE irrigation and flood control, Mokokchung.
