Six cadres belonging to radical outfit, All Adivasi National Liberation Army (AANLA), allegedly involved in abduction case, were apprehended in the wee hours of Thursday morning from Singrijan.
The cadres were apprehended based on the information provided by the main accused, who was earlier arrested by Assam police from Golaghat. However, the victim was yet to be traced by the police.
According to police sources the victim identified as Asif Bablu Rehman was abducted by AANLA cadres on August 18 last from Dimapur.
It was reported that the conspiracy to abduct the victim was hatched by one married lady identified as Jyoti Maya Tamang, with whom the victim was having an illicit affair.

Finally, in collaboration with the All Adivasi National Liberation Army cadres, the accused lady invited the victim to Dimapur on August 18 and abducted him.
Meanwhile, the Dimapur police today made it clear that no criminals would be allowed to make Dimapur as their safe house.
“We are ready to help out any state police in any criminal case whether the accused are locals or non-locals,” the police said.
