Commissioner and Secretary School Education and SCERT Mhathung Kithan on Friday said communitization was still much below expectation in many areas in the state but average success of communitization was comparatively better in Kohima and Phek district. He said this while addressing the inaugural function of newly upgraded Government High School Seikhazou to that of Government Higher Secondary School.
Kithan said when a school is bad people assumed that teachers were bad but teachers and students were integral part of education which was a two way process. He exhorted the students to make use of the information technology to succeed and be alert.
Earlier, he congratulated the school, managing board and students for excelling in every field and reached to what it was today and assured to resolve the problem of shortage of teaching if any against the sanction post. Former MLA and chairman of D Khel council and member of the School Managing Board T Aba-o Kire in his short speech said the school had a long history and was established as Naga High School before the state attained its statehood. The school was then renamed as Middle English School, Proceeding High School to full fledged High School and to Higher Secondary school in Arts stream.
