Faith Theological College (FTC) conducted its freshers’ day on Saturday with medical superintendent district hospital Dr Sukhato A Sema as the chief guest.
A total of 18 freshers’ joined the college for admission into various courses.
Taking excerpts from the Bible, the chief guest called upon the students to have a purpose of studying theology and imbibe spiritual objectives.
He also urged them make prayer as their basis and learn to love and serve together.
Expounding on the verses taken from the Bible, the chief guest also advocated the students on seven points.
He exhorted them to become men and women on word of God, have separate walk of life, imbibe a compassionate heart, be witness to others on love of God and dedicate their lives to God.
He also further stressed on the importance prayer and having total faith in God.
Earlier the welcome address was delivered by founder principal Rev Dr S Gangte and short speeches on behalf of the freshers and old comers.
Other highlights of the programme included a skit play on the Biblical character Samuel and special numbers.
