Chuba Chang calls for party strengthening

Tuensang Sadar-I MLA, P. Chuba Chang on Saturday urged upon party workers to strive for the upliftment and strengthening of the congress party in the district as well as in the state.
Speaking at the farewell programme in honor of out going District Congress Committee (DCC) president Chiten Sangtam, at Congress Bhavan Tuensang, the MLA asserted that Chiten was not only DCC president but represented a father figure of Tuensang as well. The MLA appreciated him for his support towards the party which brought about success in various aspects during his tenure.
Chang also said that he was a veteran congress leader who worked with dedicated sincerity towards achievements of the party and further wished him luck in his future endeavors. The MLA also urged the new DCC president N. Mosha to work with positive attitude and determination for the upliftment of the party. He called for consultation and co-ordination between party workers and urged them to cooperate with each other for the common lucrative of the people in creating a congenial and peaceful atmosphere in the society. The MLA further encouraged party workers to give more effort in holding up the “positive attitude of congress ideology and policies” in order to revamp the party.
Also speaking at the programme, former minister Sedem Kaming lauded the outgoing president for his tireless efforts in bringing the congress party to a common platform in various tasks.
Meanwhile, Chiten Sangtam urged the new DCC president to lead the party in a fruitful and positive way. N. Mosha, the new president also expressed his gratitude to Chiten for his contributions towards the upliftment of the party. He called upon the people to cooperate with each other for the smooth and successful functioning of the party.
The farewell programme was chaired by Pakhiu DCC Tuensang general secretary Pakhiu, while DYC Tuensang president L. Shillem also delivered a short speech. The programme was attended by CLP/PCC members, ACCC presidents along with executives and DMCC Tuensang.
