HC directs NBSE

Gauhati High Court has reportedly issued an interim order directing Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) to allow the passed out students from Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad (BSP), Uttar Pradesh to attend their respective classes. According to a clarification note issued by the BSP director Dr.Vijay Aggarwal the NBSE gave admission to the students passed out secondary (10th) from BSP in class 11 but later stopped their admission and held up results. Aggrieved by NBSE’s decision, the passed out students form BSP filed a writ petition No.W.P. (C) 2227/2010 in the Gauhati High Court, Miss Chandini Kumari & others Vs. state of Nagaland & others.The Gauhati High Court with regard to the case issued an interim order directing the board to allow the petitioners to attend their respective classes. According to BSP director Dr.Vijay Aggarwal the Parishad was an autonomous, legal and voluntary institute, and that many institutions, India universities and educational councils have given recognition to the students of BSP to seek admission in higher courses.
