DDYC holds essay competition for students on 125 years of INC

In commemoration of the 125th anniversary of the Indian National Congress (INC), Dimapur District Youth Congress (DDYC) organized an essay competition on the topic “historic achievements of the INC during the last 125 years”.
Students from various schools and colleges participated in the competition, where Beltezzar Thong of Dimapur Government College was adjudged as winner and Santanu Sarkar of Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School as runner-up.
The winners were awarded with a cash prize of Rs.10,000 and Rs.5000 respectively.
Panel of judges for the competition included DCLC principal Leonard Aier, PCC English HoD A. K Singh, EC lecturer Talijungla Sangtam, and CSHSS principal Sentisangla. Meanwhile, DDYC has expressed gratitude to congress MLAs K. L. Chishi, S. I. Jamir and Y. Hewoto Awomi for providing financial assistance; DCC members Toshi Imsong and Kisheto Chishi for their contribution towards making the event successful; judges of the competition and participants. Participants have further been informed to collect commendation certificates from DDYC office on any working day.
