Tele-education launched in Mnp

In a major initiative to provide satellite based tele-education facilities to engineering and medical aspirant students, the Manipur Education Department in collaboration with the National Information Centre (NIC) had launched a Tele Education Network for students of the state to connect them across the country.
The network centre was opened at five government runned higher secondary schools namely, TG Higher Secondary School, CC Higher Secondary in Imphal, Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School in Thoubal, Bishnupur Higher Secondary School in Bishnupur and Ukhrul Higher Secondary School in Ukhrul district. It was officially launched on Monday by the state education minister L Jayentakumar at a function at TG Higher Secondary School.
Meanwhile, each centre would have an intake capacity of 25 to 30 students and students selected for joining the coaching have to deposit Rs 1000 as nominal fee and books would be provided free of cost.
