Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) has urgently called upon all its affiliated Baptist associations to organize a prayer on September 12, to invoke divine intervention into the efforts of the FNR, which was currently involved in bringing together the “highest level leaders” of various Naga political groups. Reminding all the executive secretaries of Baptist associations that FNR has been spearheading initiatives for reconciliation amongst the different Naga political groups, the NBCC general secretary Rev. Dr. L. Anjo Keikung said: “we are happy that there were encouraging responses from the contending groups during several summits held over the past few years.” This urgent prayer call comes following a request from FNR to organize a prayer in all the Baptist churches in Nagaland on Sunday, September 12, he said. Stating that today the future of “our people” was at stake because of the situation “we have created,” Rev. Dr. L. Anjo said: “the least we can do is to pray that the Lord will help us reconcile again and build the broken walls of our society.”
