Monitoring and evaluation of all the cafeteria of activities allocated to Tuensang district every year by a state level team was conducted on August 26 at KVK conference Hall.
A five member team led by director of agriculture and state nodal officer (SNO) ATMA, Nagaland visited the district and interacted with Tuensang ATMA officials, SHGs, BTT conveners, BTT members, general secretary APMC, FAC members, farmer teacher of farm school and KVK officials. The programme for the state level monitoring and evaluation was chaired by T.V. Holo, Director SAMETI and joint director, agriculture, Kohima who gave the welcome address and key note address.
He also explained about the new hierarchy design and the proposed manpower for ATMA in the state as well in the district during the 11th plan.
Dr. Moa Walling, Project Director ATMA Tuensang presented different activities implemented during 2009-10 in the district under the “New extension reforms programme” through PPP which was followed by discussion & interaction with the SHGs, BTT members and other progressive farmers.
A.Y. Ovung, director of agriculture and SNO ATMA deliberated on “State extension programmes for extension reforms”, revised in the 11th Plan with modification made to strengthen with manpower, infrastructure and cafeteria of activity. Dr. Amenla LTO, Kohima explained on the functioning of ATMA in other district and encouraged Tuensang ATMA to work hard so as to achieve its goal.
The team also visited the Piggery Farm School located at ‘C Khel’ Tuensang village which was supervised by veterinary and animal husbandry department and Large Cardamom Farm School, Lemsheruru.
