A five-day national level modular training programme on management and administrative function for the District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit (DAPCU) staff, Nagaland was organized by Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) from August 23 and 27 at Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima.
Training was inaugurated by Menukhol John, Commissioner and Secretary, H & FW and Chairman NSACS in the presence of Dr. V. Sekhose, Principal Director H & FW, Dr. Neiphi Kire, Project Director, NSACS, H. Rosenara, team leader, NERO and Dr. Imti Meren, Director, H & FW.
The objective of the training was to orient the staff on the concept of decentralization of NACP III program to district level, DAPCU roles and responsibilities, supply chain management system, district level advocacy and multi media campaign, re-dressal of social and legal issues of High Risk Groups (HRGs) and PLHIVs, e- communications, basic financial management and assets management and processing of financial transaction.
Facilitators and co- facilitators for the training were from NSACS, lawyers collective Kohima, NERO-NACO Guwahati, SHARE India- PHMI Hyderabad and CDC Hyderabad.
Dr. Rajan Khobragade, IAS, team leader NTSU, NACO and Dr. Niephi Kire, Project Director, NSACS exhorted the participants on the concluding day.
