Kohima police has notified that vehicular traffic through Jotsoma bypass, and present diversion through bypass check gate, would be completely stopped September 4, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., in view if road maintenance works to be carried out by Jotsoma villagers. While, the Kohima police has prepared temporary alternative routes for traffic movement. According to SP Kohima Rothihu Tetseo all light vehicles, including buses, moving down towards Dimapur would be diverted through Forest Colony (Lakki road) - Jotsoma - Khonoma road and ultimately join NH-39 via Shalom Bible Seminary. All light vehicles, moving up towards Kohima, as well as moving down towards Dimapur, would be diverted through Peducha – Tsiesema road. Stating that traffic regulation was temporary, and applicable only for a day, the Kohima police has looked forward to positive cooperation from all the general public.
