NLA convenes meeting
DIMAPUR: Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) has convened a meeting on September 14, 11 am at assembly committee room, Kohima, with departmental representatives of agriculture department (construction of agri link road) and adoption of 96th action taken report of education department. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
ANMRBAA meeting
DIMAPUR: All Nagaland Meter Readers & Bill Assistants’ Association (ANMRBAA) has convened a meeting on September 8, 10.30 am at JBC hall, PWD junction Kohima to discuss matters pertaining to its forthcoming silver jubilee celebration. All executives of the association, presidents and secretaries of zonal units and organizing committee members have been requested to attend the meeting.
WADSA meeting
DIMAPUR: Western Angami D-group Sports’ Association (WADSA) has convened its presidential meeting on September 11, 9 am at village council hall, Sechü Zubza. All affiliated units have been informed to send two representatives to the meeting.
SYC meeting
DIMAPUR: Meeting of Seigneur Youth Club (SYC) Zunheboto has been convened on September 6 at the residence of its banker. The club informed that winner of 1st Zunheboto district open volleyball championship (men), running tournament would commence from September 22 and champions would receive Rs. 20,000 as cash prize.
Science seminar
Kohima: State Level Science seminar on the topic “India and World Science: Are we there” would be held on September 8 at 10 am at auditorium of Government High School, Kohima with Mhathung Kithan, IAS, commissioner and secretary School education as chief guest.
KBPF prayer meeting
Kohima: Kohima Baptist Pastors Fellowships (KBPF) morning prayer meeting would be held on September 6 at 7 am at Sumi Aphuyemi Baptist Church, Kohima and after prayer discussion on local ministry in all districts headquarter. Sr. Pastor, pastor, associate pastor and assistant pastor have been informed to attend.
WSH meeting
DIMAPUR: Meeting of Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) has been convened on September 6, 10 am at its office at Chekiye village. All office bearers, executive members and advisors have been informed to attend the meeting.
Complimentary computer training for teachers
DIMAPUR: In commemoration with the teachers’ day celebration, the SR computers would be organizing complimentary basic computer training for teachers on September 5. Managing director, R. Amita said the programme is being held in honour of the teachers on the occasion. All the teachers have been informed to attend the basic computer training.
CNBC prayer day
DIMAPUR: Council of Naga Baptist Churches (CNBC) would be observing September 12 as prayer day. CNBC general secretary Rev. Dr. V.K Nuh has informed all Churches to pray for the fate of Naga People, Forum of Naga Reconciliation (FNR) and for healing the nation.
BPFD social work
DIMAPUR: Social work at old Naga cemetery would be conducted on September 6, 6 am at Khermahal. Baptist churches (group B) in Dimapur town have informed all pastors to send respective congregation to participate.
NSCN (I-M) releases 1
DIMAPUR: “Lieut.” (Rtd) Chibenthung Ezung, B.E. (Civil Engg, “dy. kilonser” had been released from active “national service” through an ahza (order) from the president, NSCN (I-M) on health ground with effect from the May 31. Er. Chibenthung Ezung joined NSCN (I-M) in 1992 and served the nation in different capacities. NSCN (I-M) in a press release stated that the sacrificial services rendered by him for the cause of the Naga would be remembered and also wished him and his family a prosperous life.
Amongmong celebrated
DIMAPUR: Villages of Phairahir, Holongba, Sangsomong and New Sangsomong villages (PHSNS/ Range Union of Dimapur area celebrated Amongmong festival at the residence of its treasurer Er. Hotongkyu Sangtam at Aoyimti village.
Shilu Sangtam President NPF Dimapur district exhorting the gathering as the chief guest said Amongmong was a time to share love, forgive each other the past mistake and that unity and festival go hand and hand and without unity there would be no meaning to the festival. Imtilemba Sangtam Ex. minister, T. T. Among steering committee member, K.Y. Mongzar also attended the programme.
PMEGP interview
DIMAPUR: Interview for selection of PMEGP applicants under Zunheboto district would be held on September 14, 10 am at DC’s conference hall Zunheboto. All candidates have been informed to submit documents in original. DIC Zunheboto and NKVIB Zunheboto notified that no separate calling letter would be issued.
