A three member central team from Delhi based Centre for Logical Research and Development Studies (LORDS) visited New Socünoma village under Medziphema sub division to study the prospect of awarding Nirmal Gram Puraskar Awards to performing states this year.
Logical Research and Development Studies is undertaking impact assessment studies for the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.
The team comprised of Ranjan Kumar Tiwari, Kartik Suna, Ajaya Kumar Rout from Logical Research and Development Studies accompanied by SDO (PHED)Medziphema, Wati Thomson conducted a spot verification of the village which has acquired the distinction of one of the cleanest villages in the area. They also visited Tsüüma, Molvom and Hekeshe under Medziphema sub-division.
Ranjan Kumar Tiwari, Field Expert, Logical Research and Development Studies speaking at the Socünoma Panchayat hall on September 3 last said that in the field visit, they noticed encouraging trends and lauded the denizens of the village for their hard work.
Village Council Chairman, New Socünoma, Vikhor Zhünyu assured to extend co-operation to maintain total cleanliness in the village.
