Dimapur, Longleng, Kiphire DPDB meeting

The monthly meeting of DPDB, Dimapur was held September 6 at DC’s Conference Hall under the chairmanship of vice chairman and deputy commissioner, Maong Aier.
The board reviewed the last meeting minutes and discussed the following agendas; construction of community hall at Duncan Basti and proposal for setting up of weaving and handicraft training centre at Niuland. The Board deliberated the agenda at length and forwarded to the government for kind consideration. However, Vice chairman and DC, Maong Aier and local law maker representing Dimapur-I A/C K. L. Chishi expressed displeasure to the department of roads and bridges (R & B) Dimapur division for not turning up for power-point presentation on the departmental activities in the district on this current financial year. The board meeting being the highest in the district for its development activities, the board viewed their absence seriously.
K. L Chishi, while expressing his displeasure at roads and bridges (R & B) department, said the road condition and drainage system in and around Dimapur Town was in pathetic conditions and that without proper connectivity, the human life has become useless.
The board also organized a send-off programme of one of its members, Hilo Semp, project director, DRDA who has been transferred. The department of forest, environment, wildlife and ecology and roads and bridges has been selected to present a power point on their activities in the district in the next meeting.
LONGLENG: The monthly district planning and development board meeting Longleng was held on September 6 at DC conference hall, under the chairmanship of DC Longleng C.K. Nihekhu. Reviewing the last meeting minutes, the board discussed on the issue of wall fencing of Government High School Longleng and agreed to forward to the department in-charge.
The board also discussed the posting of district level officers like DFO forest, food inspector of medical department, DFO fisheries, EE/SDO power and assistant town planner, where the board unanimously resolved to write to the department in-charge to create the said post for Longleng district.
The house also discussed for cancellation of the earlier allotted plot of old ADC office and Yingli College to APGOA. The DC exhorted the DPDB members to be sincere in their job; taking into account the enhancement of salary by the state government.
Deputy commissioner also informed that any kind of gambling within Longleng town would be banned immediately, and any order issued without the DCs knowledge be cancelled. He also introduced DPDB member DPRO Vitsolie Tep to the board members.
KIPHIRE: The monthly meeting of the DPDB was held on Monday at the official chamber of the Deputy commissioner Kiphire with head of departments and Advisors KTC attending the meet. Expressing appreciation to the heads of department present, the Deputy Commissioner, CM Tsanglao said, “Even though there are rumors that the situation in Kiphire is not good, you have concern for the district and making yourself available for the meeting is laudable”.
The deputy commissioner also said nobody should get carried away by the report carried in the media and assured the Yimchungers in Kiphire were leading a peacefully life.
Medical superintendent, Civil Hospital Kiphire (CHK), Dr L.Yanthan during the meet submitted a proposal to construct a retaining wall around CHK.
The MS said the present fencing around CHK made of bamboo was insecure and that without proper fencing, the hospital has been facing a lot of inconvenience.
Some of the DPDB members suggested the government had sanctioned more than 3 (three) crore for the development of the district under BRGF and should not be a problem.
The house also welcomed Mayang, superintendent of supply department as the new DPDB member. SDAO Agriculture gave a power point presentation on the departmental activities to the august house.
