Six more militants surrender in Manipur

In yet another milestone, six more militants including three cadres of banned People Liberation Army (PLA) surrendered with arms before the Manipur Police chief and Inspector General of Assam Rifles (South) Tuesday.
The three PLA cadres, Haobijam Gyneshwor (19), Wangamba Huidrom (20) and Laishram Meino (32) laid down their arms along with two cadres of Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) – Ningthoujam Tolen (22) and Heikrujam Ngongo (19) - and RK Naocha (27) of United People’s Party of Kangleipak (UPPK) laid their arms before the DGP Y Joykumar and IGAR (S), Major general CA Krishnan is surrender ceremony held at IGAR (S) complex, Mantripukhri Imphal where another surrender ceremony of three PLA cadres of lance corporal ranks was held yesterday.
Arms accompanied by them while surrendering included one M-16 rifle, an AK-47 rifles and four 9 mm pistols.
