Nagaland State Transport has issued guidelines for availing chopper services for individuals, parties and groups wanting to avail helicopter services to contact local NST station authority in time to avoid interruption of flight plan. A press release issued by NST general manger Pekrusetuo Angami informed that in case of any requisition for evacuation of patient, a certificate from the medical authority stating that a patient was fit to travel must be given to the captain. All passengers have been requested to travel light and not to carry heavy baggage to avoid inconvenience. Passengers have been cautioned not to touch any part of the door, window panel. Passengers while approaching, departing from the helicopter have been requested to avail from the front portion only as well be guided by the pilots and to wait for the pilot’s signal. As per NST guidelines, no vehicles would be allowed to approach the helicopter within the radius of 25 mtrs. Further, individuals wearing headgears (hats, caps, etc.) have been requested to remove it while approaching the helicopter, when not switched off.
