The Chumukedima students union (CSU) has demanded clarification from Lotha students’ union Chumukedima (LSUC) for giving wrong information pertaining to the “alleged rape case” of a Lotha girl on August 22.
CSU president, Pelesavi Rurhie and vice president, Mhasinietuo Doze, said the girl claiming to be a student of class X, Brother’s and Sister’s school Chumukedima was untrue and further urged LSU to desist from such negligence which would lead to slandering the names of the parties involved, including disseminator of the information.
The CSU, being the apex body of the entire tribal student’s union has warned each student’s body not to publish wrong information without the knowledge of the apex body.
