While asserting that it has given “consent to the FNR” to finalize the Naga reconciliation process to be based on the agreed Naga historical and political right signed at the highest level of the three political groups at Chiangmai, the NSCN (I-M) has termed the activities of the rival GPRN/NSCN and FGN as “breach of trust and betrayal”. Affirming that reconciliation was “the only option for concretizing the hope and yearning of all people” it reaffirmed commitment to abide by it till the last. However, it alleged that the “two groups” (GPRN/NSCN and FGN) were “aggressively advancing for territorial expansion everywhere” by taking “undue advantage of the unity and reconciliation”. Cautioning that such actions was a “breach of trust and betrayal” of the covenant of reconciliation, the NSCN (I-M) said it could no longer tolerate it. The MIP further warned that in the event of any confrontation between the two sides “anywhere, anytime” the blame should be put on the “aggressors and intruders” and not on it. It said the NSCN (I-M) was duty bound to defend the issue “against enemies within and without”.
