DIMAPUR: General meeting of South Nagas Union of Nagaland State (SNUNS) has been convened on August 21, 11 am at Tangkhul community hall, near Tangkhul Baptist Church Kohima. Union has informed that meeting would discuss matters relating to settlement of SNUNS plot at Kohima and other accounts. Presidents, secretaries and representatives of all south Naga tribes living in Nagaland have been requested to attend the meeting.
Rio to inaugurate bridge
DIMAPUR: Longest and highest Baily bridge in the state constructed under NEEPCO Welfare Scheme would be inaugurated by Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio on August 23, 11 a.m. Chairman and Managing Director NEEPCO, I.P. World bamboo Day
DIMAPUR: The commemoration programme of World Bamboo Day will be held at Kisama Naga Heritage village from September 16 to 18. A workshop-cum- seminar programme and NE Craft Bazaar will be inaugurated on the September 16 by Governor of Arunachal Pradesh while the main World Bamboo Day programme on the September 18 will be inaugurated by Vice President of India.

DC Wokha to inaugurate handloom expo
DIMAPUR: Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation LTD, Dimapur would be organising a special handloom expo of North East at Lotha Tribal Council Hall, Wokha from August 19 to 28. The event will be inaugurated by DC Wokha, Rovilatuo Mor NCS on August 19 at 11:30 a.m. The participants are expected from Manipur, Assam and Nagaland. Varieties of Handloom & Handicrafts of North East will be displayed during the Expo.
ANJMSA meet postponed
DIMAPUR: General meeting of All Nagaland Judicial Ministerial Staff Association (ANJMSA) which was supposed to be held on August 20 has been postponed to October 8 due to unavoidable circumstances. This was informed by association convener Nchumbemo Lotha.
