Finance department notifies
DIMAPUR: In pursuance of the decision of state government to implement revision of pay for state government employees notionally w.e.f. 1.6. 2008 for fixation purpose with actual cash benefits from 1.4.2010 and to give additional arrear of pay for one month, the finance department has issued necessary revised notification vide No. FIN/ROP/VI-PC/1/2008 dated 10.8.2010 in supercession of earlier notifications issued on the subject. This was stated in a press release issued by additional chief secretary and finance commissioner, Toshi Aier.
IGNOU revises B.Ed eligibility criteria
DIMAPUR: In continuation to the notification issued in the local dailies on August 5, informing the revised eligibility criteria and accordingly extending last date of receiving application forms as August 24, regional director, IGNOU Regional Centre, Kohima, Dr. T. Iralu has informed that requirement of 50% marks is not applicable to persons appointed as teachers prior to July 26, 2010. Interested in service teachers fulfilling the above criteria have been informed to apply latest by August 24. The entrance test would be conducted on September 26.
KLCSU election
DIMAPUR: Kohima Law College Students’ Union (KLCSU) general election would be conducted on August 23, 10 am. Students have been requested to bring their identity card to cast their votes. Union further informed that absentees would be fined a sum of Rs.200 along with an explanation call.
PGSU cultural and literary meet
DIMAPUR: Post Graduate Students’ Union Nagaland University Kohima (PGSU-NUCK) would hold its 7th cultural cum literary meet from August 20-21 at State Academy Hall, Kohima. Students have been requested to attend the first day of the programme in their traditional attire. Union has invited teaching faculty, non-teaching faculty and well wishers to attend the programme. Meanwhile, PGSU-NUCK has informed that timing for transportation has been scheduled as follows: two buses for High School Junction at 8.30 am, three buses at Tinpati Junction at 8.40 am, two buses for Old MLA Junction at 8.45 am, one bus for PG-II Men’s Hostel Agri at 8.50 am, and one bus for Science College at 8.40 am.
LWSK annual conference cum picnic
Kohima: Annual conference cum picnic of Liangmai Welfare Society, Kohima would be held on August 21,11 am at Highland Park near Indira Gandhi Stadium. All Liangmai residing in Kohima have been requested to attend annual conference cum picnic with their family members while in-laws of Liangmai residing in Kohima have been extended invitation to join the programme. Er. Achakbo Newmai, Secretary Liangmai Welfare Society, Kohima informed that bus service would be provided from Mohonkhola at 8 am.
Polytechnic, Atoizu exams
DIMAPUR: All students of Khelhoshe Polytechnic, Atoizu have been informed that the filling up of forms for the forth coming compartmental exams for semester II, IV and VI, would be held on August 24 and 25 during office hours. No forms would be accepted after the last date.
CANSSEA Dimapur unit meet
DIMAPUR: Executive meeting of Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees Association (CANSSEA), Dimapur district has been convened on August 20, 1pm at the conference hall of Geology and Mining Directorate Office Dimapur.
KSUD meeting
DIMAPUR: Khiamniungan Students’ Union Dimapur (KSUD) has convened a meeting on August 21, 1pm at the residence of treasurer. All the office bearers, college representatives and freshers have been requested to attend the meeting.
Ghuvishe/Tsukomi union condole
Dimapur: Ghuvishe/Tsukomi union Dimapur have expressed grief over the sudden demise of GB of Ghuvishe village Tokugha Yepthomi on August 17 at Zunheboto. The unions conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
DSSU executive meeting
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (DSSU) has convened an executive meeting on August 21, 10am at the residence of union banker, Notun Bosti. All the executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
