CANSSEA annual membership
DIMAPUR: To clear the backlog of expenditure including those incurred during the former tenure, CANSSEA has informed all affiliated associations to clear outstanding annual membership to the treasurer of CANSSEA, S Mar Aier, contact 9856071479 on or before September 10.
CANSSEA president Dr. K. David Sema and general secretary, Vekho Vero stated that the association while checking through its previous records had found out that many associations and divisional units were yet to get affiliated with CANSSEA.
The next central executive meeting would be held on August 24, 3 pm at CANSSEA Office, Bayavu.
It also stated that after the executive meeting, the central office bearers would visit various divisional districts and sub-divisions units of CANESSA and the tentative tour program of the central office bearers will be notified through news media in advance in due course of time.
All Associations, divisional and sub-divisional units of CANSSEA have informed to keep units in readiness for necessary interaction and follow up action.
10th IR (NAP) deployed in Purulai (WB)
Dimapur: Right after the deployment of the 11 IR (NAP) in Andhra Pradesh for election duties in July, the 10th IR (NAP) under the command of Richard Yimto have been deployed in Purulai district in West Bengal to tackle naxalites menace. After the successful stint by the daring 9 IR (NAP) led by Liremo Lotha in Chhattisgarh in 2003, the Naga IR (NAP) battalions have been often deployed in other states, to tackle certain national menace and difficult situations. When contacted, DGP, K. Kire confirmed the report and said that the first batch have left Dimapur towards their destination on Friday while the rest would be leaving shortly.
Interview for PMEGP beneficiaries
DIMAPUR: Interview for selection of beneficiaries under PMEGP for Mokokchung district would be conducted on August 24 (submitted under district industries centre Mokokchung) and August 25 (submitted under KVIC - KVIB) from 10 am onwards in the conference hall of DC's office Mokokchung. DIC functional manager V. Vikheto Yeptho has informed all applicants to report for the interview with original documents and no separate calling letter will be issued.
PSTE result declared
KOHIMA: Result of 1 year PSTE course and back paper candidates have been declared. Director SCERT Nagaland, Vipralhou Kesiezie informed that result could be checked from their respective institutes.
HASSU meeting
DIMAPUR: Highway Area Sumi Students’ Union (HASSU) has convened an executive meeting on August 21, 9.30 am at the residence of its banker. All executives of the union have been requested to attend the meeting.
Seminar on ‘True love waits’
DIMAPUR: Youth and education department of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) would be organizing a state level seminar on ‘True love waits’ on August 24 and 25 at Jubilee Memorial Centre, Lerie, Kohima with Dr. Joyce Angami, Dr. Neiphi Kire, Kedo Peseyie, evangeline and Rev. Iringtie Kauring as resource persons. Intending participants from the associations’ youth and education under NBCC have been reminded to confirm their participation to the NBCC office and to contact 09436606056, 09436005010 for information.
Rotary free screening, diabetes camp
DIMAPUR: Rotary Club of Dimapur, in association with Indian Medical Association, Dimapur Branch will be organizing free screening and detection camp for diabetes on August 22, 9 am to 1 pm at Rotary Centre, Midland, PWD Road, Dimapur. People having symptoms of Diabetes like increased hunger, increased thirst, increased urination, general weakness, body aches, and non-healing wounds etc have been requested to avail the facilities. Registration would be done on the spot on “first come first basis”.
NSF joint meeting
DIMAPUR: Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has convened a meeting on August 25, 12 noon at NSF conference hall. Federation has informed that the meeting would discuss matters relating to activate workmanship through Inner Line Regulation Committee (ILRC) on the unprecedented growth and influx of immigrants in the state. All NSF executive council, seniors and ILRC members have been requested to attend the meeting.
CCFZ general meeting
DIMAPUR: CCFZ meeting shall be held August 22 at 12 noon in the residence of Chairman to distribute various works and assignments as well as chalk out programmes related to State Road Show 2010 at Zunheboto. Further, members who have still not renewed their membership have been informed to update their membership.
Army recruitment rally in Phek
DIMAPUR: Army recruitment office Rangapahar would be conducting recruitment rally under the aegis of headquarters recruiting zone, Shillong for male candidates, from August 23 and 29 at Town Hall ground, Phek. Colonel J. Hota, director recruiting officer Rangapahar has invited all desiring candidates from all district of Nagaland and Manipur to the rally.
DCO Kohima informs
Dimapur: District Cultural Officer, Kohima has informed all those registered rural libraries ho has not collected library books for 2006-2009, to collect the same from the District Cultural Office, Kohima within 30 days. The library in-charge has also been informed to produce the library seal while collecting the books.
SSUK emergency meeting
Kohima: Sangtam Students’ Union (SSUK) has convened an emergency meeting on August 23 at 2 pm at the residence of its treasurer. All office bearers and executive members have been informed to attend the meeting.
Gender sensitization trg in Medziphema
DIMAPUR: Training on gender sensitization for middle level functionaries, DAO’s and SDAO’s would be held at SAMETI, IETC, Medziphema from September 7 to 9. All DAO’s and SDAO’s of agriculture department have been informed to attend the training.
Submission of govt school enrolment
Dimapur: Additional director School Education, N. Khevito Sema has informed all DEO/DIS who have not submitted the actual enrolment of students as per school-wise from Class PP-8 during 2010 to the directorate of school education for distribution of free textbooks to submit it before August 31. All headmasters of GHS/principals of GHSS are to submit actual enrolment figures to respective DEO/DIS before stipulated date.
ATC Niuland directs land encroachers
DIMAPUR: Ad-hoc town council (ATC), Niuland town has directed all those who have encroached land by the roadsides in and around Niuland town, to vacate from the encroached land within a period of one month which would come into effect from the date of publication this notification. Niuland Ad-hoc Town Council vice chairman Hoikhu Awomi in a press release stated that land preserved along the roadsides under Niuland Ad-hoc Town Council jurisdiction have been kept for road widening purpose meant for the welfare of the people of Niuland. Vice chairman also said that failing to vacate from the encroached land within a time period, the council would to evict the encroachers.
IASOAN annual general meeting
DIMAPUR: Annual general meeting of IAS Officers Association of Nagaland (IASOAN) has been convened on August 25, 3 p.m. at Heritage House, Old DC Bungalow, Kohima. All the members have been requested to attend the meet.
NPBCC exhort new recruits
DIMAPUR: The Nagaland police baptist church, Chumukedima (NPBCC) organized a spiritual awakening service themed ‘God loves you’ for the new recruits at NAPTC and PTS chumukedima. Pastor NPBCC P Tali Jamir said that the programme was basically organized to let the new recruits understand how important it is to be spiritually strong. Two separate programmes were organized at NAPTC and PTS where asst pastor Lima DABA and Aochuba, words of life ministry spoke on the occasion. Meanwhile, Bao Angami, adjutant NAPTC said that the training for the recruits started from May 1.
