SBAK Nitomount: Sumi Baptist Churches Association (SBAK) has mourned the death of five passengers who were travelling from Dimapur to Zunheboto on the ill fated NST Night bus that met an accident on the night of August 11, some Kms. short of Chetheba town.
The association while conveying condolences to the bereaved family members stated that amongst the five dead, two of them Atoholi and Kuholi were permanent members from various Churches under this association.
The association also prayed that God speed the recovery of all injured passangers.
Meanwhile, the association expressed gratitude to all the VIPs, public, individuals, Churches, organisations who showed the true Christian spirit by extending physical, moral and material assistance to the bereaved as well as injured passengers, Chetheba town, its surrounding villages and the Chakhesang community who rendered immeasurable support during the time of grief.
Common funeral service was held at Police Point, Zunheboto with mammoth gathering and the service conducted by Rev. Yevito E.S. was one of its kinds at Zunheboto for which the Sumi hoho was lauded.
