OHVA condemns ‘fake reverend’

Oinam Hill Village Authority (OHVA) has condemned the crime committed by recently arrested ‘fake Reverend’ Solomon Simte and appealed the authority to award the accused with befitting punishment as per the law and not to grant bail.
Terming the act committed by Kh. Shanglong alias Solomon Simte in collecting money from 41 churches in Nagaland in the name of fake ministry and with fake Reverend title as “devilish”, a release issued by Ng Longma Taoh, Chairman Oinam Hill Village Authority stated that crime was the first ever in the history “who damaged the image of the Christian communities particularly the Poumai community”.
The release also condemned the habitual crimes committed by the accused Kh.Shanglong which it stated had brought disgrace and shame to the Christian communities, Poumai tribe and village and stated that village authority would initiate severest action against him as per the customary law.
