NEDFi for promotion of North East economy

The North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Limited (NEDFi) is committed to promote North East economy and strife to widen the development option, encourage entrepreneurial activities and support the vulnerable and sensitive sections of society by financing their viable business needs.
Conscious efforts are made to improvise and formulate schemes to develop infrastructure, agriculture and small and medium enterprises that will in the long run help to generate wealth from within the region, based on the people’s based on the people’s inherent strengths. The corporation extends financial assistance to projects spread all over the eight NE states in keeping with the market demand. Projects in a wide spectrum of sectors, ranging from large projects in power, hospitality, infrastructure and manufacturing sectors to small projects in agriculture and allied activities have been financed to trigger a meaningful development process in the region while reaching out to the grassroots through micro-finance initiatives.
With the objective of increasing its outreach in the rural and semi-urban areas for encouraging and nurturing local entrepreneurs towards economic development, NEDFi has set up its representative office in most of the North Eastern States to reach its assistance to the doorsteps of entrepreneurs, thus facilitating accelerated and balanced industrial development in the states.
Presently, the Nagaland Voluntary Health Association with its office located at the 2nd floor of NST building, Kohima is serving as the representative office of NEDFi. Some of the function of the office is motivating entrepreneurs and counseling of entrepreneurs, helping prospective clients apply for assistance, sourcing of applications for loans and guidance for filling loan applications. Interested entrepreneur may visit the office anytime between 9.30 am to 4 pm for more information and assistance. This was stated in a released issued by Mezhi Angami Incharged of NEDFi here today.
