Taking into serious account the 10th IRB revolt incident at NAPTC Chumukedima, the NSF urged the concerned authority to deploy the Naga jawans after giving them special training and being provided with improved weapons. Expressing solidarity to the Naga IR boys to be deployed for anti-naxal operations in Purulia in West Bengal, the NSF reminded the state government that the Naga youths deployed in sensitive areas should be made equipped with advance weapons to tackle those naxals who were properly trained and well-equipped. The NSF asserted that past deployments were “carelessly organized” where many Naga jawan’s precious life have been “mislaid and lost.” The federation questioned the government as to why IR jawans of Nagaland were deployed only in sensitive areas unlike the IR jawans of other states who were reserved at ease regions.
