JEE candidates informed
DIMAPUR: Additional director and HoD, directorate of technical education, A. Kathipri has informed all JEE selected candidates who have not taken their nomination letter from directorate of technical education, Kohima to do so latest by August 27, failing which their selection would stand cancelled. It also informed JEE 2010 candidates who were not selected for any course and desirous of pursuing engineering course to ascertain from the directorate office about filling up a few vacant seats on or before August 31.
Kohima GBs directed
DIMAPUR: All the present serving Gaonburas (GBs) under Kohima Sadar administrative circle (Kohima village, Kohima town, Chedema village and Chedema Model village who have not submitted their appointment order have been directed to submit a copy of the appointment order to the office of deputy commissioner, Kohima on or before August 31 for working out the requirement of Red Blanket for the current year 2010-11.
EAC Chozuba informs
DIMAPUR: On receiving information about an LPG Truck looted by some miscreants on August 16, around 10.30 pm pm near Chozuba town and taking note of highway robberies between Sekruzu to Chetheba stretch under Chozuba Sub-Division, Phek district, Anoka H. Assumi, EAC Chozuba has issued notification that the civil administration along with police and BSF would take up preventive measures and conduct search operations. He also urged all factions operating in the area, civil bodies and public to co-operate in wiping out such unwanted activities and in bringing the culprits to book.
DIMAPIR: In view of the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) asking allottees to renew their allotment order, the New Market Business Owners Association (NMBOA) and Hazi Park Welfare Committee (HPWC) has convened a meeting of all the DMC allottees in New Market, Hazi Park and Murgi Patti on August 27, 10 am at New Market Durga Mandir.
All DMC allotment holders have been requested to attend the meeting and further requested not to enter into any kind of agreement with the DMC before the scheduled meeting is held. Members have been informed to contact at 9856655696 for queries.
HDFC car loan mela
DIMAPUR: Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) Dimapur branch would be organizing a car loan mela on August 26 at its office premises Church Road, opposite Plaza Restaurant. The car loan would be mainly for Toyota Car and the bank has asked all its interested account holders to visit its branch office on that day between 10 am to 3 pm. Meanwhile, the HDFC branch manager Dimapur, Bedanta Deka has convened a meeting of the customer service committee on the same day at the bank premises at 10:30 am. The branch manager has requested all the committee members attend the meeting.
SUPCC emergency meet
DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of Students Union Public College of Commerce (SUPCC) will be held on August 25 from 10 am at the union office. All tribal presidents, general secretaries and executive members have been requested to attend the meeting positively.
KHKA general meet
DIMAPUR: A general meeting of Kyong Hoho Karbi Anglong (KHKA) has been convened on August 28 from 3 pm at the residence of GB Mhontsen Humtsoe near Kyong Baptist church Bor-Lengri. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
DEO Dmu informs all schools and colleges
DIMAPUR: The district education officer Dimapur informed all the government and private schools and colleges under Dimapur district to collect the ‘Teachers day’ token and car flag on payment from the DEO office.
AKGDA general meeting
DIMAPUR: All Nagaland Government Driver’s Association (AKGDA) Wokha unit has convened its 7th general meeting on August 28, 9.30 am at chief medical officer office (CMO) conference hall Wokha. The association has requested all its members to submit their membership and attend the meeting.
Science seminar at Mokokchung
DIMAPUR: Mokokchung district science seminar would be held on August 26, 10 am at Mayangnokcha government higher secondary school, Auditorium on the topic ‘India and the world science: are we there’ with R Asenla Keltzar, Addl, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung as chief guest.

Free cataract and IOL operation camp
DIMAPUR: Commemorating the 25th National eye donation fortnight from August 25 to September 8, district health society (NPCB) would conduct free cataract and IOL operation camp during the whole month of September at Dimapur District Hospital.
DMC informs shopkeepers
DIMAPUR: With a view to regularize DMC trade license renewal and other anomalies, DMC advisors alongwith officials would conduct ward wise checking of the license from August 25. All shopkeepers have been informed to cooperate with the checking party.
Coordination committee for Noklak Road Show
DIMAPUR: Commissioner and secretary (SWC/LRD), N.N. Zhasa has notified that a coordination committee from the partnering department has been constituted for coordinating all aspects of the Tsokum festival and state Road Show at Noklak. The committee comprises of additional director land resources development, Mhathung Yanthan as convenor, joint director SWC Limameren, co-convenor, joint director, (Eco & Stats), Yipeng Ovung, joint director, IPR, Limawati, ADC (Planning), Anung Pongener, under secretary (fishery), Mongo, deputy director (fishery), Yimti Longkumer, directors of printing and stationeries, women development and Music Task Force as members and general manager, NIDC, Bendang Longkumer as member secretary.
State level youth parliament & parliamentary quiz
DIMAPUR: State level youth parliament competition and parliamentary quiz would be conducted on August 27 at Imagine Hall ATI, Kohimawith minister for planning and co-ordination, evaluation, veterinary and AH and parliamentary affairs, T.R. Zeliang as chief guest. Parliamentary quiz and youth parliament competition would be conducted in the second session of the day followed by prize distribution by chief guest.
USSC annual magazine
DIMAPUR: United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) has invited all its bonafide members to contribute articles for annual magazine. The conference also all the affiliated unions to submit year of establishment of the village and the students’ union, present statistical report of the students’ from class –A (LKG) to post graduate (class wise), picture/photo copy of any places/sites of Historical important within Sangtam jurisdiction (with detail description). ANAATA informs doubtful members, Zbt
DIMAPUR: ANAATA has informed all its doubtful members under Zunheboto district to immediately open their service book within September 5. President, ANAATA, Hekiye Liriki stated that individual who failed to open their service book would be responsible in the event of the pending arrears being withheld.
DIS Aghunato informs
DIMAPUR: Deputy Inspector of School (DIS) Aghunato, Kakugha S. Rotokha has informed all VEC chairmen, head teachers, teachers-in-charge and cook under DIS Aghunato to attend he meeting on August 27, 11 a at EBRC building, Aghunato. Head teachers and teachers-in-charge have been requested to bring official seal. DIS also cautioned that the pay of absentees would be held-up.
ENPO headquarter office inauguration
DIMAPUR: The inauguration of Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization (ENPO) headquarter office/secretariat cum central executive session would be held on August 27 with minister for school education, Neiwang Konyak as chief guest.
Environment conservation programme at Logwesunyu
DIMAPUR: Logwesunyu Students’ Union (LSU) organized a sanitation, tree planting and cleanliness drive programme at Logwesunyu village on August 21. The programme was sponsored by Nagaland Empowerment through People’s Economic Development (NEPED), which took up the village in 2007 in helping village community by organizing sanitation and environment conservation programme to impart the importance of forest conservation. LSU appreciated NEPED and the government and expressed hope that such development programs would be conducted in future as well.
