Superintendent of Police, Kohima has notified public that in view of the visit of Vice President of India, the following traffic regulation would be enforced during his movement throughout his stay in the state capital from September 18 to 20. According to the notified regulation, no building material would be allowed to be kept by the roadside along the NH-39 and NH-61 including Jotsoma by-pass road via Kohima Science College. In case of any defaulters the material would be seized and kept in the respective Police Station.
No vehicles would be allowed to park along the NH-39 and NH-61 including Jotsoma by-pass road via Kohima Science College. Any unattended vehicle along the above mentioned road would be towed away with towing charges to be paid by the vehicle owners.
No parking zone during VVIP movement until he reached his destination include 10 am from AR helipad to Raj Bhavan on September 18, by 12 noon from Raj Bhavan to Kisama on September 18, by 2 pm from Kisama to Raj Bhavan on September 18, by 5 pm from Raj Bhavan to AR Helipad on September 19, by 12 noon from Helipad to Raj Bhavan on September 19, by 8 am from Raj Bhavan to AR Helipad on September 20.
SP, Kohima stated that the traffic regulation was made for public convenience and sought positive co-operation from the general public.
