Taking note of “bogus and absentee teachers” appointment in the state education department, the NSCN (I-M) Saturday expressed surprise over those responsible persons involved in scam and was enjoying the benefits without “shedding a single drop of sweat.” Maintaining that it has learned about “bogus teachers”, “absentee teachers”, and even “ghost pensioners” of various departments, the NSCN (I-M) MIP “kilonser” A.Z. Jami in a statement urged those student bodies, which fought tooth and nail to bring about the passage and implementations of Retirement Act, to take up the matter very seriously and press the authorities responsible to bring those culprits to book without any leniency. Meanwhile, it has also observed that some people were allegedly blaming and intimidating state commissioner secretary, education department Mhathung Kithan and some department authorities for the troubles they were facing. Asserting that the issue was the policy and decision of the Naga general public, Jami said it was not wise on the part of any person or group to shift responsibility.
