Minister of agriculture, Dr. Chumben Murry toured Wokha district on September 15 and visited fields affected by recently reported rodent-menace, particularly in Lotha Middle Lower Ranges. The minister was appraised about the overview of rodent surveillance and monitoring in the district by staff of DAO Wokha, and interacted with farmers and field functionaries of agriculture department.
Dr. Murry and his entourage also visited Baghty division and interacted with farmers of the area. He was accompanied by agriculture additional director, Z. Kikon, ADC (designate) Anthony Ngullie, department officials of the district, public leaders and contact farmers. Meanwhile, farmers of the areas have expressed gratitude to Dr. Chumben Murry for taking keen interest on the welfare of the farmers by visiting and interacting with them.
