The Naga Idol 5.10 is set to make its presence felt outside Nagaland, with a concert scheduled to be held at the Nongthymmai (Jingkeing) ground, Shillong on September 22, organized by the Naga Students’ Union, Shillong in aid of fund-rise for the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the NSU, Shillong.
Ten Naga Idol 5.10 contestants escorted by the organizers Hunting Boots Inc reached Shillong on Sunday morning from Dimapur and are presently lodging at Nagaland House, Shillong. An added attraction of the night would be the presence of the Maharaja of Tripura, Pradyot Deb Burman who would be the chief guest at the concert.
The Naga Idol 5.10 contestants would be singing an array of songs of their choices like gospel, rock and pop songs. A host band ‘Incitit’ would be playing the instruments for the contestants during the concert. The contestants are extremely excited about the concert and are looking forward to perform for the Shillong audience tomorrow evening.
As a thanksgiving, the Naga Idol 5.10 contestants and the organizers attended Naga Christian Fellowship, Shillong on Sunday. Despite enduring a tiring journey, Naga Idol 5.10 contestant Renbeni Odyuo, took the privilege of presenting a song at the service.
The Naga Idol 5.10 team will be returning to Dimapur on September 23, where a road show concert is scheduled to be held on September 25. Another road show concert is being organized at Kohima on September 28, so the public can finally see the Naga Idol 5.10 contestants live on stage.
