Condolences for former scribe

Kohima Press Club (KPC) and Dimapur Press Club (DPC) have condoled the demise of founding president of KPC Dipak Chetri, who breathed his last on Wednesday at Guwahati.
Late Chetri served in different capacities in various local newspapers such as Nagaland Post, North East Herald, Guwahati-based Sentinel before starting an advertising agency at Guwahati.
KPC in a condolence message said late Chetri’s contributions toward the press have been tremendous and it that it was only through his valuable encouragement that the KPC was formed. KPC prayed for solace to the bereaved family at their time of grief and peace for the departed soul.
The DPC, in another condolence message, expressed shock at the sudden demise of Dipak Chetri and offered condolences to the bereaved family and peace for the departed soul.
Meanwhile, Editor and staff of Nagaland Post observed a brief condolence meet at the office Wednesday evening. Glowing tributes were paid to the memory of late Dipak Chetri who began a stint in journalism with Nagaland Post from 1993-98.
