Wangyuh Konyak: Former MP Lok Sabha Wangyuh Konyak has mourned the demise of head master government middle school of Chenloisho village R.V Perumal on September 19 at Guwahati. A condolence message issued by Wangyuh stated that late Perumal from Kanya Kumari, Tamil Nadu joined GMS Chenloisho village in the year 1988 and served for more than 22 years and that he was also a recipient of governor’s commendation award in 2009 teachers’ day. Former MP Lok Sabha and his family have conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members.
LSM: Longkong Senso Mungdang (LSM) has mourned the demise of Putijungshi, who passed away on September 17 at Dimapur. The union in a press note stated Putijungshi was an honest person and the third Naga to have received the prestigious National Bravery Award from the Indian Council for Child Welfare in the year 2005 for his acts of bravery in saving lives during the tragic natural disaster that engulfed Mokokchung in 2005. LSM also said he was also the first Naga lad to been conferred the Jeevan Raksha Padak Award in 2006. LSM further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family.
DGU: Dimapur Gorkha Union (DGU) has condoled the demise of Dipak Chetri son of late BB Chetri, brother of Bijaya Chetri, additional secretary, Nagaland who passed away on September 22.
NTA: Nagaland Tourism Association (NTA) has expressed condolence over the demise of Dipak Chetri who was one of the founding members of NTA. The association stated that apart from being a prominent figure in the fourth estate, Dipak Chetri played a big role in the promotion of tourism activities in Nagaland. Remembering the valuable contribution and support towards tourism, NTA stated that Chetri’s service would be a legacy which will be kept alive in days to come and also prayed for the bereaved family and the departed soul.
