A multidisciplinary training programme was organized by KVK Dimapur at community hall of Dhansiripar village on September 20. All total of 25 practicing farmers participated in the training programme.
H.D. Singh (SMS, Horticulture) explained in detail about nursery raising and nursery management for different winter vegetables.
Kolom Rabi (SMS, plant breeding) trained the farmers regarding breeding of rice, ground nut and grams and on quality seed production of crops.
Z. James Kikon (SMS, soil science) discussed on the application on balanced nutrients into the soil for better yield.
He also stressed on adoption of right package and practices of winter groundnut.
Saurabh Sarma (programme assistant, plant protection) focused on safe use of insecticides and pesticides to make farmers aware on precaution to be taken during pesticide application.
