A free health check-up for KMC sanitary workers was organized by Kohima Municipal Council in collaboration with Oking Hospital & Research Clinic Welfare Society, Kohima on September 26 at Oking Hospital, Kohima. Around 70 workers with their family members availed the benefit through the free health check-ups where they were given treatment in orthopaedic, eye, gynaecology, radio diagnosis, medicine and surgery etc.
Referring to the significance of the services being provided to them, the workers felt that the treatment would not only benefit their fraternity but their good health would also benefit the denizens at large.
KMC advisor on beautification, human resource development and hoardings, Neisakuo-u Medom said the health check-up was organized with the aim to encourage workers, keeping in mind their plight, which need medical attention from time to time.
ADC Kohima and administrator KMC, Alun Hangsing and advisory members of KMC appreciated the proprietor of Oking Hospital, Dr Vikethonyu and his team of doctors for extending the free medical check-up and free distribution of medicines.
