Dimapur Sumi Council (DSC) expressed its appreciation and acknowledged the commitments of the Naga political leaders of the NSCN/GPRN, FGN/NNC and GPRN/NSCN for the historic September Summit.
Chairman, Dimapur Sumi Council, Kuhoi Zhimo said the wisdom showed by the leaders of the Naga groups in their pursuit for peace and reconciliation was a step ahead for bringing an everlasting peace in the Naga nation.
The Dimapur Sumi Council also lauded the initiative of the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) for convincing Naga leaders to shun the path of violence and sow the seeds of peace.
“All Churches in Nagaland long for peace and are praying for bringing everlasting peace and trying to unite the Nagas for the common goal”, added DSC.
Dimapur Sumi Council was also of the view that signing of the Covenant of Reconciliation and the September Summit has already set the process of reconciliation in motion and believed all parties involved would honor the commitment made before God.
