YCMVC programme
DIMAPUR: Yajang ‘C’ medemsanger village council (YCMVC) would be organizing renascent programme at Yajang ‘C’ village from October 22 to 24 in accordance with the golden jubilee celebration programme of Yajang ‘C’ village Baptist church in 2013. The Yajang ‘C’ village council has requested all citizens of Yajang ‘C’ village to attend the programme.
AASU meeting
DIMAPUR: Aghunaqa area student union (AASU) has convened its 4th general meeting on October 2, 10 am at its sub-banker’s residence, Nepali bosti Dimapur for the forth coming 10th annual session at Yetoho village. All executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
ANCSU assembly
DIMAPUR: All Nagaland college student union (ANCSU) has convened its 2nd emergency union assembly on September 30, at 11 am at NSF conference hall, Naga Club building Oking, Kohima. All ANCSU office bearers, tribunals, senior leaders, unit presidents and general secretary of all the colleges affiliated to ANCSU have been requested to attend the assembly.
VRC foundation day
KOHIMA: The first foundation day of Vision Riders Club (VRC) Kohima will be celebrated on October 2 at 12:30 pm at Highland Park near Indira Gandhi Stadium. All club members and well wishers have been informed to attend the programme.
NPF Phek meeting
KOHIMA: NPF Phek division executive has convened a meeting on October 12, 12 noon at the official residence of Kuzholuzo Nienu, minister for Health and Family Welfare. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
PWD employees meet
KOHIMA: Emergency general meeting of members of All Nagaland PWD (H) R&B and Mechanical Regular Employees Union with effect from June 1, 1998, has been convened on October 5 at 10 am at the PWD guest house conference hall, Kohima. Two members from each division and sub-division have been requested to attend the meeting.
APF silver jubilee
KOHIMA: Angami Prayer Fellowship (APF), Kohima Science College would be celebrating its silver jubilee on October 2 at 10 am at CYC with Rev. Visakolie Chusi, mission chairman ABCC, as the speaker. The fellowship has invited its members, alumni, well wishers and believer to the celebration.

DIMAPUR: Virazouma student union (VSU) Chumukedima would be organizing a mass social work on October 2. All public have been requested to attend the social work.
Dmu action plan meet cancelled
Dimapur: A meeting on preparation of action plan with regard to census and disability which was scheduled for October 1 at 11 am at DC’s conference hall has been cancelled till further notice. This was informed in a release issued by ADC Dimapur, Sedevikho Khro.
Body retrieved from railway station
Dimapur: A body of a male (non-local) aged around 45 was retrieved by GRPS at Railway Station, Dimapur on Wednesday at around 4:30 pm. Sources from GRPS suspected the victim may have died due to starvation after observing legal formalities. The body has been kept at District Hospital morgue for verification. (Staff Reporter)
Hunting, fishing banned in Merangkong village
DIMAPUR: Merangkong Medemsanger Putu (MMP) has informed public that hunting and fishing has been banned in its jurisdiction. Those caught with guns and hunting weapons would be imposed fine of `5000 and a fine of `10000 to the owner of the weapons, stated MMP.
BACSU academic excellence award program
DIMAPUR: Bendanglen Alir Chuchuyimlang Senso Union (BACSU) would be organiznig an academic excellence award programme on October 2, 9 am at Chuchuyimlang community hall. All BACSU members have been requested to attend the programme.
NSAMB board of directors meeting
DIMAPUR: Nagaland state agricultural marketing board (NSAMB) stated that the 3rd board of directors meeting which was postponed earlier would be held on October 7, 11 am at Hotel Japfü. All members of NSAMB have been requested to attend the meeting.
CHDD joint meeting
DIMAPUR: Chakhesang public leaders and gazette officers of Dimapur under the banner of Chakhesang Hoho Dimapur District (CHDD) will hold a joint meeting on October 2, 10 am at Bade village. Patkai Christian College Dimapur principal Hüsazü Epao and superintendent of police (SP) Dimapur Zekotso Mero would be the main speakers of the programme. Hoho has requested all Chakhesang gazette officers under Dimapur district, presidents of various organizations under CHDD, unit chairmen, VCCs, GBs, VDB secretaries and pastors of the community at Dimapur to attend the meeting.
NCSU Dimapur new president
DIMAPUR: Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) has appointed W. Khape as full-fledged president of NCSU Dimapur unit on September 28. Union informed that the appointment has been made as per recommendation of NCSU Dimapur at a joint meeting resolution of head office and unit executives held on September 28.
C3IHM relocates service venue
DIMAPUR: C3 International Hostel Ministries (C3IHM) Dimapur has informed that venue for Sunday English Worship would be relocated to Delta conference hall, Nyamo Lotha road near Plaza Point from October 3 onwards. Services would be held at 2pm.
Royal Club meeting
DIMAPUR: A meeting of the Royal Club Kohima has been convened on October 1, at 4.30 pm at Hotel Japfü Kohima. The club has requested all members to attend the meeting.
NCRC silver committee meet
DIMAPUR: A meeting of NCRC Sumi youth silver jubilee committee, sub-committee, advisors, youth secretaries and the executive office bearers would be held on October 2, 11 am at its banker’s residence in Dimapur.
‘Nagas Got Talent’ 2010 semi finals
DIMAPUR: The semi finals elimination round of Nagas Got Talent 2010 held Wednesday evening at IMC Hall, Dimapur saw the exit of three individuals and one group from the competition. Surviving participants for group category include Funky Fresh Boys, Hebron Heartbreakers and Taekwondo Strikers, while individual category finalists are Vizosetuo, Bokato Kiho and Alito Wotsa. The mega talent hunt contest, put together by Pheto Music Association would culminate in a grand finale slated for the end of October. (Staff Reporter)
CRF beneficiaries asked to produce documents
DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Bei-u Angami has notified all selected beneficiaries for the Calamity Relief Fund (CRF) to produce documents. Documents include I.D card, letter from the village council chairman, colony chairman or GB certifying the details of the applicants, passport photo of the claimant, beneficiary and any other documents in support of the claimant.
Kohima to observe RTI week
DIMAPUR: Kohima District will be observing Right to Information week from October 5 as directed by the Nagaland Information Commission. In this connection, a workshop on RTI would be held on October 6, 11 a.m at DC’s Conference Hall. An essay competition for college/ university level would also be held on October 8, 11 a.m at the DC’s Conference Hall, Kohima.
CWWS 34th annual general meeting
DIMAPUR: Chakhesang Women Welfare Society (CWWS) will hold its 34th annual general meeting at Yoruba Baptist Church from October 1 to 3. Deputy Chairman State Planning Board, Neiba Kronu would be the chief guest. Two to four representatives from all 94 churches/villages will be attending the meeting. The resource persons during the meeting will include President Chakhesang Women Welfare Society, N. Khalo, General Secretary CNBC, Rev. Dr. V.K. Nuh, Advisory Board Member State Social Welfare Board, Atoli Veyie and Assisstant Sericulture Officer, Dimapur, Zachüvelü K. Dolie.
WSSU jubilee committee meet
DIMAPUR: Meeting of Western Sumi Students’ Union (WSSU) golden jubilee committee has been convened on October 2, 10: 30 am at the union’s office.
KMC sanitation tax
DIMAPUR: Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has notified that an annual sanitation tax would be levied for trade license holders under KMC jurisdiction from October 1 onwards. Council administrator Alun Hansing informed through a press note that the tax would be collected grade-wise with `600 for Grade-A, `500 for Grade-B and `400 for Grade-C annually, and the rates would be subjected for revision when necessary. The sanitation tax has been introduced as per Scavenging Tax of Nagaland Municipal Act 2001.
DC Mokokchung informs
DIMAPUR: Candidate who have not collected admit card for the proposed written examination scheduled on 2nd October 2010 for the post of LDA cum Computer Assistant under Mokokchung District are informed to collect it till 2 pm on September 30 from the office of the DC, Mokokchung. DC, Lithrongla G. Chishi informed that no admit card would be issued after the expiry of the date and time.
Tagore commemoration grant scheme
DIMAPUR: To celebrate 150th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, Government of India. Ministry of Culture has launched a scheme, “The Tagore Commemoration Grant Scheme” (TCGS) which would remain open up to May 2012. The scheme would assist and support programmes related to appropriate and befitting commemoration of the multi-faceted genius of Rabindranath Tagore and his enduring contributions to art and culture. Interested individuals, NGOs may collect the details of the scheme from the office of the Director, North East Zone Cultural Centre or the same may be downloaded from the Ministry’s website ([email protected])
