Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, C. M. Chang, visited Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) on Wednesday and held an interactive meeting with chief advisor, advisors and senior staff of DMC.
Addressing the meeting, Chang lauded the effort of the DMC advisory team led by chief advisor Er. Keditsu for their remarkable work for the welfare of denizens of Dimapur.
He said Dimapur was a gateway to Nagaland and therefore the advisors, whom he termed as well qualified and experienced in their own capacities, held greater responsibility to make Dimapur a better developed city.
MP said streamlining the price of essential commodities was important and the DMC has done rightly well by reviewing the rise on price of essential commodities. He was also impressed with improvement of sanitation in the town.
Urging the advisors to continue with their good works, he reminded the DMC that their performance were being closely watched by the public at the same time stated the DMC receive co-operation from the public due to confidence on the advisory team leading the DMC.
Speaking on behalf of the DMC, Chief Advisor apprised the MP about system and functioning of the DMC, besides highlighting the programmes and initiatives being undertaken by DMC.
He informed the MP that the DMC was being able to perform better with co-operation from the people. He assured that the advisory team, as entrusted by the government, would not lag behind in any manner or leave no stone unturned to take Dimapur to a new level of development.
The meeting was chaired by Nikhashe Sema, CEO DMC, invocation by M. Ovung, advisor DMC and vote of thanks proposed by Imkongtemsu, advisor, DMC.
