In the participatory workshop on sanitation programme, five selected school within Mokokchung town at Ongpangkong Salang, received sanitary napkin vending machines. The machines was inaugurated by Nüngsangmenla, SDO (Sadar), Mokokchung at Mayangnokcha Higher Secondary School.
Speaking as the chief guest, Nüngsangmenla said it was a privilege for girls to have acquired such a modern machine and also lauded the Sulabh School Sanitation Club (SSSC), New Delhi for their noble venture.
The two days workshop programme was sponsored by ‘Capacity & communication development unit’ and PHED Mokokchung.
Resource persons for the programme were from Sulabh School Sanitation Club (SSSC), New Delhi.
It may be noted that the SSSC has earlier provided 5 sanitary napkin vending machines each at Kohima, and Dimapur including Mokokchung at Mayangnocha Higher Secondary School, Douglas Higher Secondary School, Jubilee Higher Secondary School, Town Higher Secondary School and the Dilong Higher Secondary School.
