ANTA Zunheboto condemns assault

All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Zunheboto unit has condemned an assault on one taxi driver of taxi bearing registration No.NL-06-0252 meted out allegedly by CRPF personnel traveling by a vehicle with registration No.MH-14-7441 at Jotsoma By-Pass road on September 25.
A press release issued by ANTA Zunheboto unit joint secretary Katoshe Yeptho stated that after the taxi driver was allegedly beaten up by CRPF personnel on September 25 at around 2.30 pm “for reasons best known to them”, the driver was also allegedly forced to sign “some written paper to cover up the crime”.
While condemning such act meted out on one of its members, ANTA Zunheboto unit called upon the responsible commanding officer of the CRPF personnel in question to investigate the matter and punish the culprit(s) involved in the act. Association also sought apology from the responsible personnel.
