NTAK emergency meeting
DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of Naga Timber Association Kohima (NTAK) has been convened on September 10 at 2 p.m at the residence of its president. According to secretary NTAK Joseph Sekhose, the meeting had been convened regarding the recent write-ups in local dailies, by individuals, claiming to be espousing collective views and opinions of the NTAK. Other matters pertaining to the common welfare would also be taken up for which all members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Special leave for Hindi teachers
KOHIMA: All the government of Hindi teachers serving under the School education are granted two days special leave on September 13 and 14 to enable them to participate in the 17th state level Hindi day celebration.
Hindi Divas day at Longleng
DIMAPUR: All Nagaland Hind Teachers Union Longleng unit will be celebrating Hindi Divas on September 10. Deputy Commissioner Longleng, C. K Nihekhu and DIS Longleng will grace the function as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
CASU musical extravaganza
DIMAPUR: Chumukedima Ao Students’ Union (CASU) would be organising Euphony 10 musical extravaganza in aid of ethnic exposure tour on September 10, 5 pm at 1st NAP auditorium. The programme would feature Moanungsang the 1st Naga Idol, Venetolu Tetso, Top 6 Naga Idol ’09, Wonder Waves and Purniken, winners of 1st BSNL Laughter Sensation 2010. The programme would be graced by Jemti Ao as guest of honour.
Cultural programme in aid of ‘Old Age Home’
KOHIMA: Incessant Welfare Society Nagaland (IWSN) would be organising a cultural programme on September 9 starting 3.30 pm at state academy hall, Kohima in aid of “Old Age Home”. The cultural programme would witness performances by various solo artists, fashion show and cultural troupes of different Naga tribes. IWSN informed that it was a non-competitive programme with free entry and free will donations and all funds generated from the programme would go to Old Age Home, Kohima.
‘K3M’ live concert at Wokha
DIMAPUR: Rock band K3M will be performing live at Town Hall Wokha on September 10 from 5:30 onwards. Organiser has requested all to come and witness the show.
Rotary Club to inaugurate ‘Hearse Project’
KOHIMA: Rotary Club Kohima would be inaugurating ‘Hearse Project’ under matching grant with Rotary International District 5330, California USA on September 9 at 8.30 am at NHAK Auditorium with Küzholüzo Nienu, minister for health and family welfare as chief guest.
DBWU combined worship service
DIMAPUR: The Dimapur Baptist Women Union (DBWU) will be having its 3rd combined worship service on September 10 at Phom Baptist Church, Dimapur at 3 pm.
DDK to telecast ‘brain twisters’ season 1
KOHIMA: The first episode of ‘Brain Twisters’ season one, an inter-school quiz competition organized by Doordarshan Kendra Kohima, will kick start on September 9 on DDK. In this episode, Cheery Blossoms School, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School and Coraggio School A.G will battle for a place in the semi finals. The subsequent episodes till the grand finale would be telecast every Thursday during local transmission. Altogether, 27 schools are participating in the competition.
NSTEA yearly membership
DIMAPUR: Meeting of Nagaland State Transport Employees’ Association (NSTEA) has been convened on September 10, 10 a.m at Dimapur station to discuss matters pertaining to forthcoming 5th general conference of NSTEA. Yearly membership fee of rupees 100 per head and rupees 50 would also be collected for new members enrollment fee.
