Mandatory ID cards for auto drivers

Dimapur district auto rickshaw drivers union (DDADU), president, Akaho Kiba has informed auto drivers to carry their union ID card, adding that drivers without ID card would not allowed to park to its jurisdiction nor allowed to ply in Dimapur. The union also said it would not entertain any proxy auto drivers plying auto rickshaws and that any driver found violating the order would be penalized by imposing a penalty under the union constitution. All executive members and parking in charge have been requested to impose checking of ID cards firmly. The union has informed the public traveling /plying by auto rickshaw to check the registration number in regards to any lost and found items. It further ordered drivers to check the auto after dropping passengers and submit any goods/things left by them in their respective autos to the head office. If any drivers are found violating this order would be penalized, added DDADU.
