Hindi Divas celebration
KOHIMA: The 17th state level Hindi Divas celebration will be held on September 14, at 11 am at Bharat Scouts and Guides Conference hall, organized by All Nagaland Hindi Teachers Union and Nagaland Bhasha Parishad Kohima. The chief guest for the function would be Pollen Tep, deputy director directorate of school education.
GHS V.K. town silver jubilee
DIMAPUR: Government High School V.K. town would be celebrating its silver jubilee on September 23 at 10 a.m at the school compound. All alumni and former teachers have been informed to attend the meeting.
School education survey meeting
DIMAPUR: Meeting of principals/head teachers/teacher-in-charges of both the Government and Private HSS/HS/MS/Primary Schools under Kuhuboto R.D. Block has been convened on September 13 at 11 am at GPS Town primary school, Half Nagarjan, Dimapur. The meeting would deliberate on eight All Eight India School Education Survey.
NPF 53A/C Tuensang clarifies
DIMAPUR: NPF 53A/C Tuensang Sadar-I general Secretary Z. Zhelo Yimchunger reacting to the press statement issued by J.N Somba president ACCC 53 A/C Tuensang Sadar –I clarified whether he had a permanent or temporary residence and that no party had the right to raise objection against his participation in the NPF party. The general secretary also stated that J.N Somba should take care of his own party than to be bothered by the induction of other party members.
Award for winners of essay competition
DIMAPUR: Prizes for winners of essay competition on ‘Bamboo for community and livelihood’ would be distributed in Kohima. Winners of the essay competition Amalu Jossy, Royal Foundation School, Phek, Idaulung Cerai, GHS, Mbaulwa, Peren, Thungchibeni Murry, DBHSS, Wokha and Khrukurholu Lohe, Oking Christian School, Kohima have been informed to reach Kohima on September 17 and contact 943660351 or 9863148976 on Nagaland Bamboo Mission and to report to control room at Kisama latest by 12: 30 on September 18.
FONSESA silver jubilee
DIMAPUR: Federation of Nagaland State Engineering Services Association (FONSESA) will be celebrating its silver jubilee on September 15, 8 am at Multi-purpose Hall-A, Indira Stadium. State chief minister Neiphiu Rio would grace the occasion as chief guest while NERC chairman and FONSESA founder president Er. S.I. Longkumer would be guest of honour. All members have been informed to avail casual leave and attend the function and district units have been requested to ensure full participation of all members.
SGSA, WSSA joint meeting
DIMAPUR: Sumi Games and Sports’ Association (SGSA) and Western Sumi Sports’ Association (WSSA) will hold a joint meeting on September 15, 10 am at WSSA office, Chekiye 3rd Mile Dimapur.
DSSU freshers’ meet
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (DSSU) would be organizing its freshers’ meet on September 30 at Town Hall Dimapur with MLA, Kihoto Hollhon as chief guest and ICS Dimapur director Dr. Hesheto Y. Chishi as speaker.
Registered societies informed
DIMAPUR: All societies, organisations, unions, committees clubs, schools, colleges and other institutes under Dimapur registered under registration of societies Act 1860 or Public Trust Act in Kohima have been informed to report to the office at Supermarket Dimapur for compilation work during office hour from September 13 to 17. NGOs who had already reported need not report.
KMC plea to keep Kohima clean
KOHIMA: Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has cautioned all shops/traders and any business establishment not to litter garbage’s/waste between 7am to 5 pm. KMC administrator Alun Hangsing informed that defaulters would be penalized and trade license seized. Further, all public have been requested to keep Kohima City neat and clean by throwing waste matters only in the nearest dustbins and not to litter public places. It also requested those commuting by vehicles/cars to always carry a paper bag or degradable plastic bag and not to throw any kind of waste like cigarettes/chips packets, used water bottles etc., on the road side to avoid littering the surroundings.
NSL dept notifies LDA applicants
DIMAPUR: Directorate of Nagaland State Lotteries (NSL) has informed all applicants who have applied for the post of LDA-cum-Computer Assistant (against resultant vacancies of Nagaland Retirement Act, 2009) in the office of the director A. Wopen Lotha to retrieve their respective applications/ documents from office room no. 29 during office hours of any working day from September 13 to 20.
DMC clarifies on rate of cement
DIMAPUR: Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) with regard to rate of cement published on September 9 has clarified that the rate of Valley Strong Cement should read as Rs. 320 and not Rs. 315 as entered earlier.
