Nyeiwang releases DIER’s 31st book

State minister for school education and SCERT Nyeiwang Konyak Saturday released a book “Do your shoes fit?” and simultaneously inaugurated a branch of Dimensions, school of phonetics and spoken English, here at ABC building, Naharbari.
The book authored by Dimensions institute for education and research (DIER) director Noel Manuel focuses on whether one had the right skills to compete in life. “Do your shoes fit?”, DIER’s 31st publication, is for young people desiring to go forward in life, but needed assistance.
Minister Nyeiwang Konyak, speaking on the occasion, articulated on significance of English language adding it was essential in the age of money and language. “As much as we need money to survive, we need the English language to go ahead in life with the rest of the world,” said Nyeiwang Konyak.
The minister further lauded Noel Manuel, who has in seven years published 31 books, and said it was great achievement, adding he deserved acknowledgment. Touching upon “year of entrepreneurs”, announced by the govt, the minister said govt was doing everything to ensure that deserving entrepreneurs get the opportunity.
Earlier, delivering introductory speech, DIER director Noel Manuel said Dimensions was established with an objective to promote language in Nagaland, and to ensure that people develop communication skills. The programme was chaired by SDO (agri), Jacob Yanthan.
